Yanmar Energy System Co., Ltd established

Yanmar will create an as independent company "Yanmar Energy System Co., Ltd. (Y.E.S.)" from the previous energy system division at 3rd March 2003.
This company will specialize in the market of On-site Power Systems, Micro-gas Co-generation Systems and Gas Engine Heat Pump Systems.

Yanmar Co.,Ltd began a new program of re-structuring last July of the company's complete product line areas - for example agricultural machinery, pleasure boat, generator and construction machinery. These business will act independently, and allow Yanmar to concentrate on the engine business and developing new field .

As an initial part of this program , new companies "Yanmar Agricultural Equipment Co., Ltd," " Yanmar Marine International BV" and "Yanmar Marine System Co., Ltd" were already established last year.

The new company "Y.E.S." has total functioning, from R&D, production, sales, construction to after-care with the aim of increasing market share in Japan. In addition it will proactively pursue overseas markets including China, Korea Europe and America.
