Yanmar sponsorship at Earth Day Tokyo 2007

Yanmar will provide sponsorship at the Earth Day events held in Tokyo (Yoyogi Park) on April 21-22 2007, as part of its on-going activities aimed at contributing to an environmentally sustainable society.
During the two-day event, Yanmar will provide own-manufactured gensets running on biodiesel fuel obtained from waste cooking oil.
On display at Yanmar’s booth are a biodiesel-powered cart and a mini biodiesel refining plant, both being an example of biodiesel fuel-related activities carried out by several educational institutions in Japan and overseas with Yanmar’s sponsorship. Participants at the event will be given biodiesel fuel samples in exchange for waste cooking oil. Easy-to-understand explanations regarding the practical use of biodiesel fuel on bio-carts and the vehicle used in the Paris-Dakar Rally will be also provided.
In addition, the Ukyo Katayama team, whose participation in the Paris-Dakar Rally was also sponsored by Yanmar, will also join the event along with their vehicle.
